Si tratta di un disco unico nel suo genere che esprime tutte le potenzialità sonore ed evocative di uno strumento tradizionale del meridione come racconta Loccisano: “un ‘The Best of’, il meglio dei miei tre ultimi lavori discografici ma arrangiati per due chitarre battenti.

“Un ‘The Best of’, il meglio dei miei tre ultimi album, “Battente Italiana” (2010), “Mastrìa (2013) e “Solstizio” (2017) – racconta Loccisano – un repertorio scelto accuratamente con Marcello con cui abbiamo riarrangiato i brani per due chitarre battenti. Un nuovo progetto discografico che rappresenta per noi l’avanguardia della chitarra battente con cui si esplorano nuove frontiere di dialogo chitarristico che partono dal nostro territorio per arrivare a tutto il mondo grazie all’ampia escursione dinamica e ad una mescolanza di suono meridionale, poesia, composizione e contemporaneità.”

Il titolo “Venti” fa riferimento ad un numero ricorrente, come spiega il duo: “una chitarra battente è dotata di 10 corde, quindi due chitarre battenti ne hanno 20. Siamo nel 2020. L’importanza dei venti nella nostra penisola fa sì che il nostro territorio venga attraversato da una innumerevole quantità di ‘venti’ differenti.”
