Appuntamento il 2 dicembre con lo showcase inaugurale del primo meeting nazionale dedicato alla world music

 

La Calabria sarà al centro del Musiconnect Italy di Pistoia, il primo meeting professionale italiano totalmente dedicato alla world music. Il gruppo dei Parafonè è stato scelto per aprire ufficialmente l’evento il prossimo 2 dicembre nell’ambito di una quattro giorni di incontri, conferenze e showcase per cui sono stati selezionati alcuni degli artisti più significativi della scena etno-folk nazionale ed internazionale. La possibilità di esibirsi davanti agli operatori e addetti ai lavori di primo piano nell’ambito del meeting, organizzato da Italian World Beat – in collaborazione con Scena Unita, La Musica che Gira e il Ministero della Cultura – rappresenta un’occasione unica e preziosa per la band calabrese, che continua il suo percorso di promozione e valorizzazione internazionale dopo essersi esibita con successo, ad esempio, in Spagna, Portogallo, Canada e Stati Uniti.

 

Il collettivo musicale Parafoné (Angelo Pisani – Fiati Etnici, Lira, Zampogna; Bruno Tassone – Voce e Chitarre Etniche; Totò Codispoti – Voce, Organetti e Tamburelli; Omar Remi – Basso Elettrico; Domenico Tino – chitarre, bouzouki e mandolino; Sergio Schiavone – Chitarre ; Antonio La Rosa – Percussioni e pad), in attività oramai da più di 15 anni, ha fatto del recupero e della riproposta della musica tradizionale calabrese in chiave contemporanea la propria cifra stilistica, riuscendo a sperimentare un connubio originale tra le radici identitarie, legate a suonatori e cantori del territorio, e l’innovazione. Un progetto che ha convinto anche la critica ottenendo, negli ultimi anni, la candidatura alle Targhe Tenco 2016 ed una Menzione della Giuria critica internazionale al Premio Parodi.

Veri e propri ambasciatori musicali del Made in Calabria, i Parafonè si apprestano a vivere una nuova entusiasmante esperienza grazie a Calabria Sona e Italy Sona, con l’impegno del responsabile Giuseppe Marasco, che si sta ritagliando un ruolo sempre più attivo nella promozione della musica identitaria e world in giro per il mondo. “Questa è la conferma della vitalità e della qualità della nuova scena etno-folk calabrese – afferma Marasco – che si candida come marcatore identitario e momento di promozione della nostra terra, della nostra cultura, della nostra identità e dei nostri territori. Un movimento che mira all’internazionalizzazione e per questo degno e bisognoso di sostegno, di promozione e di agevolazioni alla pari delle altre eccellenze calabresi”.
