Grande successo all’evento che ha portato la world music italiana all’estero: i complimenti degli operatori italiani e stranieri provenienti da tutto il mondo

    La band calabrese dei Parafonè è stata protagonista dello show di apertura del Musiconnect Italy, il primo meeting professionale italiano dedicato alla world music che si è tenuto a Pistoia nei giorni scorsi. Oltre 150 partecipanti tra artisti, ospiti, giornalisti, manager, organizzatori e direttori di festival provenienti da tutto il mondo. I Parafonè si sono ritagliati – grazie all’impegno di Calabria Sona e Italy Sona – uno spazio di primo ordine nel calendario degli oltre venti live che si sono alternati su due palchi, tra panel, presentazioni e speed meetings. Preceduti dal maestro Riccardo Tesi con BandaItaliana e Giovanni Seneca, hanno sbancato a Pistoia con il loro sound inconfondibile tra recupero e riproposta della musica tradizionale calabrese in chiave contemporanea, incassando i complimenti di operatori nazionali ed internazionali provenienti da Canada, Spagna, Irlanda, Ungheria, Norvegia, Emirati Arabi, Repubblica Ceca, Polonia e Slovacchia. Ad esibirsi la formazione al gran completo con Angelo Pisani – fiati etnici, lira, zampogna; Bruno Tassone – voce e chitarre etniche; Totò Codispoti – voce, organetti e tamburelli; Omar Remi – basso elettrico; Domenico Tino – chitarre, bouzouki e mandolino; Sergio Schiavone – chitarre ; Antonio La Rosa – percussioni e pad.

Un connubio originale tra le radici identitarie e l’innovazione, che ha convinto il pubblico composto da professionisti ed artisti, grazie ad un repertorio basato sui grandi successi della storia musicale della band, tra quattro album inediti ed uno live: Na primavera, No suli e no Luna, Pizzicariedhu / La luna ntra sta ruga, Dorma, Tantu campa n’arrè, Aquila Bella fino al gran finale che ha entusiasmato la platea con “La notti passa”. Tra strumenti “pop”, pipite, zampogne, lira calabrese, organetti, bouzouki, saz, mandolino e tamburelli, la “nuova” musica calabrese ha ricevuto grandi apprezzamenti anche da parte dei media partner di settore: Blogfoolk, LineaTrad-Folk Television e Just Folk di Radio Kaos Italy. Il gruppo ha avuto l’occasione, inoltre, di confrontarsi e interagire con i tanti altri artisti che si sono esibiti (Elettro Mascarimiri, Rachele Andrioli, Alessandro D’Alessandro, Duo Valla Scurati, Still Life, Ars Nova Napoli, Stefano Saletti & Banda Ikona, Kalascima, Davide Ambrogio, Arsene Duevi, Ilam, Suonno D’Ajere, Maria Mazzotta, Ziad Trabelsi e Carthage Mosaik, Luca Bassanese & La piccola orchestra popolare e Alessia Tondo) creando momenti di scambio e crescita anche professionale.

Musiconnect Italy ha raggiunto il suo obiettivo accendendo i riflettori del mondo su una proposta musicale folk ed etnica tipicamente italiana, ma quanto più varia possibile: classica, contemporanea, giovane (con una sezione appositamente dedicata agli under 35), con contaminazioni elettroniche, fino ad arrivare a particolarissimi dj set all’interno dei quali spuntano voci e strumenti tradizionali. L’evento è stato organizzato da Italian World Beat e dall’Associazione Culturale Brodo con il patrocinio di Comune di Pistoia, Nuovo Imaie,Mic e Audioimage e con il supporto logistico della Fortezza 59, dove si sono tenuti la gran parte degli appuntamenti. Fondamentale anche il sostegno di Scena Unita – per i lavoratori della Musica e dello Spettacolo.Per Calabria Sona un altro risultato importante nel lavoro di promozione delle realtà musicali calabresi, con un occhio di riguardo verso le espressioni identitarie in festival e contesti di grande rilievo nazionale ed internazionale
