Il 4 giugno esce “AJAYÕ – VULESS’ ‘O ‘CIELO” (etichetta discografica Italysona, disponibile su tutti gli store digitali
e in fisico su Amazon e su discotecalaziale.com), il nuovo disco piano solo del musicista napoletano Vincenzo
Danise (produzione esecutiva di Giuseppe Marasco): una proposta musicale antologica, un progetto –
accompagnato dal video della live session di “Llorona” (GUARDA QUI) – che racchiude composizioni originali
insieme a composizioni della tradizione napoletana, messicana, brasiliana, un vero e proprio “viaggio” interattivo
tra musica e magia che coinvolge sia emotivamente che letteralmente il pubblico. Ajayô, in napoletano “Vuless ‘o
‘Cielo”, è un'espressione afrobrasiliana che significa “un soffio di saluto a Oxalá” ed è spesso pronunciato in un
senso simile all'espressione "se Dio vuole" o "speriamo" (GUARDA PRESENTAZIONE)
A giugno parte tournèe di sei date in Messico in cui, oltre a presentare il disco Ajayõ Vuless 'O Cielo,
sonorizzerà con le proprie composizioni e le sue improvvisazioni il film muto "L'Inferno" di Dante del 1911 per il
'700 della morte del sommo poeta. Ecco le date: quattro live al CENART di Città del Messico (17,18, 26 e 27
giugno), il 21 giugno al Teatro Angela Peralta di S-Miguel de Allende e 23 giugno al Parque Guanajuato
Bicentenario di Guanajuato.
Attraverso le sue note, Vincenzo Danise propone composizioni originali, che sono state elaborate durante il
lungo lockdown, e brani della tradizione napoletana come “Torna Maggio”, messicana come “Llorona” e
brasiliana e jazzistica come “O Bebado E A Equilibrista”: “il concetto che ho voluto rappresentare è quello della
speranza. Speranza che nei progetti del cielo (inteso in ampia rappresentazione: divinità, destino, universo, ecc.) ci
sia l'annullamento delle distanze, di qualunque tipo, non solo quelle dovute a profilassi mediche, come il
distanziamento causato dalla pandemia: distanze culturali, distanze sociali ed economiche, distanze religiose. E
quindi, Ajayò – Vuless' o cielo' potremmo tornare ad abbracciarci, uomo e uomo, donna e donna, religioni diverse,
culture diverse, divinità diverse, vestiti diversi, ovviamente in questo momento particolare in cui la distanza sociale
è imposta dalla necessità di evitare contagi, il significato diventa più forte”.
Dopo il brano di apertura, Ajayõ, arriva Tango Mediterraneo, brano dedicato alla città dell’artista, Napoli, e al
Mediterraneo: una melodia romantica che avvolge il cuore, l’intelletto, il corpo e il sesso: “Napoli è la capitale
della cultura, dell’arte, della musica da secoli. L’ho composta inspirandomi a grandi personalità che hanno
rappresentato la mia città nel mondo sia con la musica, sia con la poesia e la filosofia e sia con il calcio: Pino
Daniele, Luciano De Crescenzo, solo per citarni alcuni in quanto Napoli da secoli è fucina di tanti artisti napoletani,
e Diego Armando Maradona… a loro tutta la mia gratitudine”. Llorona è il terzo brano, una canzona folk
messicana, La “Donna piangente”: è una leggenda messicana, anche se è diffusa, con sfumature diverse, in altri
paesi latinoamericani (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Cile, Venezuela), ma è anche molto di più: è un mito che ha radici
antichissime – nasce nel primo periodo coloniale intorno al 1520 – tanto da entrare profondamente nell’immaginario collettivo di tutto un popolo, fino a diventare parte integrante della sua cultura. Anima Lunae (a
Federico) è dedicata al caro amico di Danise, a cui l’artista riserva una profonda gratitudine. Stella Diana si ispira
ad una storia vera: Diana è una bambina africana, nata letteralmente in mezzo al mare mentre la mamma
attraversava il Mar Mediterraneo per arrivare in Italia, cercando una vita migliore: “ha avuto la fortuna, negli
anni, di incontrare mia nonna, donna di umili origini, che si è presa cura di lei ed è riuscita a coinvolgere un intero
quartiere ad aiutarla.” Note che parlano d'amore (preludio a ballad for emy) e poi Ballad For Emy, composizione
dedicata all’ultimo cane di Danise, ma in generale a tutti gli animali del mondo, molto spesso maltrattati e
abbandonati da ignobili esseri umani. È una ninna nanna dedicata a loro, che donano amore incondizionato.
Waltz For Queen è stata scritta per la Regina Elisabetta ma in realtà è dedicata a tutte le donne del mondo, ogni
donna che occupa il nostro pianeta, il nostro Universo è una Regina che merita il rispetto che per troppi anni è
stato sottratto insieme ai diritti. Torna maggio è un brano storico della tradizione napoletana, scritta da Vincenzo
Russo e Eduardo di Capua. O Bêbado E A Equilibrista è un brano di Joao Bosco: Brasile, gli ultimi anni di una
dittatura militare, quella iniziata nel 1964 con un golpe appoggiato dagli USA e la destituzione di João Goulart, il
presidente legittimo che aveva imbastito la riforma agraria e progettato la nazionalizzazione delle compagnie
petrolifere. Ninnanannaninnanoè, ninna nanna tutta in napoletana scritta da Pino Daniele: “la Nennella a cui è
cantata ("Duorme Nennella mia…") è sicuramente Cristina, prima figlia di Pino (avuta dal matrimonio con
Dorina Giangrande, sua corista nel disco d'esordio "Terra Mia”). Il mammone ("si vene 'o mammone… chiudimmo
'a porta") in dialetto è l'uomo cattivo che viene usato per spaventare i bambini vivaci.”
Danise ha dedicato tutta la sua vita alla musica, grazie al pianoforte scoperto già a 6 anni. Nato a Napoli a pochi
passi dalla stazione Centrale, nel difficile rione Case Nuove, ha subito capito che la musica avrebbe potuto
salvarlo dal “sistema”. È l’incontro con Roberto De Simone, il grande compositore e fondatore della Nuova
Compagnia di Canto Popolare, a cambiargli la vita: “capisce che ho talento e mi indirizza verso una Maestra che
segnerà per sempre la mia vita, M° Miriam Longo. Da quel momento non ho lasciato più la musica, mi diplomo al
Conservatorio di Napoli San Pietro a Majella e intanto suono in giro per l’Europa e il Sud America con alcuni dei
jazzisti più importanti: Marco Zurzolo, Renaud Garcia-Fons, Massimo Manzi, Massimo Moriconi, solo per citarne
alcuni.”
Il musicista napoletano, consapevole della forza della musica, dà il via nel 2014 a “Danise on the road – Questa è
la Napoli che vogliAMO!!!”, progetto che ha riscontrato un enorme successo e che gli è valso il soprannome di
“scugnizzo del jazz”: “ho portato letteralmente il pianoforte nelle piazze, nei vicoli, nei borghi più disagiati di
Napoli e ho suonato il jazz tra la gente comune.”
Danise ad oggi è Docente AFAM-Conservatorio di Musica. All’età di nove anni intraprende gli studi musicali di
pianoforte classico, affidandosi all’insegnamento di Miriam Longo, figlia dell’insigne Alessandro, scoperto dal M°
Roberto De Simone, ed è ammesso al Conservatorio “San Pietro a Majella” di Napoli. Parallelamente ad una
solida formazione classica di base, derivante dagli studi in Conservatorio, incomincia a studiare jazz con il padre
chitarrista. Nel 2005 vince una borsa di studio partecipando al Concorso jazz per Piano solo indetto dalla
Yamaha. Al 2006 risale la sua affermazione al Concorso Chicco Bettinardi, nuovi talenti del jazz italiano, nel
quale, oltre ad aggiudicarsi il primo premio da parte della giuria, conquista anche il premio del pubblico. Nel 2007
vince una borsa di studio per partecipare i Seminari Senesi di Jazz. Nel 2009 vince il concorso Waltex Jazz
Competition per nuovi compositori italiani. Amplia i suoi interessi musicali prendendo parte ad importanti
seminari come: In.J.Am studiando con Danilo Perez, John Taylor, Eddie Gomez, Rufus Reid, Don Freedmann
Aaron Goldberg, Danilo Perez, Palle Danielsson, Stefano Zenni. Suona con: Massimo Manzi, Ares Tavolazzi,
Renaud Garcia-Fons, Massimo Moriconi, Ivo Parlati, Aldo Vigorito, Sergio di Natale, Carlo Lomanto, Salvatore
Tranchini, Pietro Condorelli, Antonio Onorato, Alberto D’Anna, Marco Zurzolo. Il primo lavoro discografico risale
al 2009: Danise Immaginando un Trio vol.1 Egea/Radar. Nel 2010 si esibisce al Teatro Quirino (Roma), Shaw
Theatre (Londra), Zion Arts, (Manchester), Centre Sesc Vila Mariana (San Paulo Brazil), Coliseo (Buenos Aires),
Solis (montevideo). Intraprende una toruneè mondiale con la commedia di Gaber: “Il caso di Alessandro e
Maria” con la regia di Luca Barbareschi, con Luca Barbareschi e Chiara Noschese, con le musiche di Marco
Zurzolo. Nel 2013 compone le musiche per il film di Sandro Dionisio: Un consiglio a Dio (guarda qui). I suoi
orizzonti musicali spaziano anche nella scena pop, interessanti a proposito le collaborazioni del 2003: Mike
Francis, Ana Flora e Cristal W. (corista di Zucchero). Nel 2016, in Brasile, suona in diverse città e nel 2017 torna in
tournée per presentare il nuovo disco “Saravà”, uscito il 10 febbraio per l’etichetta Full Heads, donando i
proventi dei concerti all’ “Orquestra de Acaô" per dare un sostegno alle famiglie brasiliane che non riuscivano a
sostenere lo studio della musica ai propri figli. Il suo linguaggio musicale diventa internazionale, per questo è
invitato oltre che in Brasile anche in Messico per un ciclo di tre Master Class per conto dell'Accademia Florencia in
